Who's it for?
Beginning teachers in North Carolina.
What problem does it solve?
One-third of teachers in the US leave the profession after three years and nearly half leave by the fifth year.
How does it help?
To quell this loss of talent, NCCAT conducts professional development programming designed for our state’s beginning teachers designed to reinforce essential skills, strengthen instructional practice, and build professional networks.
“Success from the Start: How to Survive and Thrive Your First Three Years in the Classroom,” is a residential program for teachers in their first, second, or third year of teaching. The results are improved skill levels and effectiveness of new teachers.
