Blue Ridge Business Development Center

The Blue Ridge Business Development Center is dedicated to the creation of business opportunities and the advancement of technology jobs and skills for the people of Alleghany County, North Carolina. The BDC coordinates training opportunities through partnerships with Wilkes Community College, Alleghany High School, Alleghany County Government, and the Town of Sparta. The Center also serves as a business incubator, furnishing office space for established and start-up small businesses.

Linda and her team oversee multiple programs at the Wilkes County Chamber of Commerce that are focused on entrepreneurs and small business owners. The Chamber offers opportunities for prospective and current business owners alike to connect with one another. The Wilkes Women in Leadership program is a great example of one such program. The purpose of this leadership program is to equip top female talent to break through the barriers that have historically impeded career development and empower them to take their place at the highest levels of leadership.
