Leadership Catawba educates and equips Catawba County residents with information about the social, economic, and political dynamics of our community.
Over an 8-month duration, Leadership Catawba participants are immersed in community issues and challenges that we position ourselves to directly address in the areas of reinventing community, telling our story, serving our community, building for jobs, workforce connectivity, and small business and entrepreneurship.
The program challenges each participant not only to be an effective and influential leader within their own organization but to lead within our greater community through personal commitment and involvement.
Who is this program for?
Applications are open to all individuals in the Hickory area interested in new learning, community exposure, and networking to serve the community. Classes are limited to 35 participants and one representative per business.
What problem does it solve?
Many seek the opportunity to take action and better their community while connecting with like-minded individuals but don't know where to begin.
How does it help?
Through interactive community orientation, leadership development training, Leadership Catawba provides the curriculum for developing a collaborative action-network of community leaders.
