Mountain Business Equity Initiative strives for entrepreneurial equity through education, empowerment, and economic mobility.
At Mountain Business Equity Initiative our strategic, evidence-based approach is grounded in community leadership, advocacy by/for families and community, applied research that centers hard truths through quantitative + qualitative data, leadership development, mobilizing Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BiPOC) to engage with the City (as well as other contracts and opportunities) through training and education, ultimately moving towards equitable, and inclusive opportunity for all.
Our work is three-fold:
Train community leaders and entrepreneurs and then position them as future trainers, facilitators, mentors, and coaches; and
Build up the capacity of the community to be eligible of “willing and ready” to do business through coaching, mentorship, and resource connection; and
Create infrastructure and a pipeline for success between the Business Inclusion Office and the BiPOC community.

Individuals identifying as black, indigenous, people of color with an interest in entrepreneurship.
