Boomer Sassman, owner and CEO of Big Boom Design in Asheville, gives his best advice for developing your business strategy — getting into the head of your customers. You should come at your strategy with the perspective of, "I've got a skill that you need and that I can help you with." Don't be salesy, but instead, be informative and educational.

I think it's important for people to maybe get in the head of their customer or their clients, mainly because it helps you not be salesy. If you can come at it from a perspective of, I've got a skill that you need that I can help you with, it's more of a teaching moment and an educational aspect, rather than a let me sell you this thing that you may or may not need.
